Elsie, Some News and a Question

I meant to show you the pics of Elsie first, but it seems the following uploaded in this particular order, so here goes:

WE WON! The play wot I wrote won Best Production in the festival. Along with the brilliant performance by the cast we had them almost rolling in the aisles. I was so astonished. I was hoping for a couple of laughs and a few chuckles. The response was amazing.

Here I am collecting the trophy from the Festival Coordinator:

(Perhaps I'll remember to relax my shoulders next time.)

This has certainly encouraged me to write more for the stage.

NEXT - Elsie. Butter wouldn't melt, eh?

Here she is with a towel stolen from the downstairs loo:

Earlier on today she 'helped' me dig a hole for a paeony. Digging deep...

...and then deeper...

The other morning I found I'd left a cushion to my swing seat out all night. It had rained and the cushion was very wet. I left it in the kitchen to dry by the Aga while I went out for coffee....came back to find the kitchen filled with foam and a very amused puppy. Hmmmm.

Lastly, can anyone help me identify this plant?

I bought it at a car boot sale last year. The seller didn't know what it was either but told me it grew well and was easy to care for. I've searched google images but can't find it.

I'll try and blog more often from now on.

Blessings,

Andi xx

  5. Wow! Many congratulations! A precious award I'm sure.
Elsie looks a little darling, if mischievous ;o)but I'm sure she can be trained as a wonderful gardeners assistant! Who enjoys digging holes for a new plant? - not me :o(
I agree with George, your lovely plant is a Pheasant Berry bush.

  9. dear Andi thats just SO fab- I know you must've put so much work into that play!
I always have my shoulders round my ears in pics- I won a Best Vintage award at Goodwood Revival one year and was photod with Wayne Hemmingway (I guess it was my 15 minutes of fame!) but when I saw the pic I'd turned into Mrs No Neck-a very strange look when wearing a 40s hat!

    Have a lovely week

  11. Congratulations! Celebrate!
Elsie is adorable and while young, she will be a hand full. She made me laugh with her antics.
Andi, the toad is in a beeskep. I don't know how he got there, but he made it his home. I think he is a tree frog. Makes quite a racket calling for a mate.
    Have a great weekend,

  12. Congrats on your play!! As for your pup, darling. Our dog likes to try and chew up the towel we used to dry her with after a bath. Revenge maybe.

  13. Congrats on your award and so glad to have found your blog (thanks for finding mine too!)
Elsie is so cute. I would have called my son Elsie if he'd been a pink one.
Re Noo Noo the lost bunny, all papers in Whitstable have published the story this week, and put it on their news websites, much to my husband's astonishment ("they'll never use that"). Ha!
Now need to sit and wait.
Am useless in the garden so can't help you with the plant. Very pretty though.
